These two years at Gilman would not have been possible without the support, encouragement, and friendship from my colleagues in the first class of Penn GSE's Day School Teaching Residency. We have shared difficulties, victories, and countless laughs along the way. I am thankful to each of you who believed in, celebrated with, and encouraged me to be a better teacher and the most authentic version of myself. While we may be going in different directions, I am confident that our fondness will endure and that we will all continue to change the lives of those around us.
To Charlotte Jacobs and Chris Pupik Dean: Thank you for your consistent encouragement, dedication, and passion for this program. It has been a true pleasure to work with both of you for these two years and I am thankful for all of the resources you have given me so that I might be able to pursue my passion for education and learning at the same time.
To Brooks Matthews: I say this to everyone who asks, but I will say it again--I could not have asked for a better mentor during my first two years of teaching. Your steady, wise encouragement and guidance has been invaluable in my development as a teacher. Thanks for all of your jokes, hugs, and time invested in me.
To Gilman: Thank you for taking a chance on a program that has meant so much to me and my infant career in education. It has meant so much to me to be welcomed with open arms to such a supportive community of educators.
